CCA Outing

On Friday I went out to Charisse’s place with Charlene. It was a chill-kind of day. We went to the grocers near by and visited the Guitar Shack store too. Charisse and I bought picks 😛 Then we went back to her house and then carried our stuff to the park near her house. There we had (somewhat of) a picnic 🙂

We played frisbee after our lunch, and then had a short photo shoot/guitar session. I took so many pictures of the trees. Here are only some of my liked ones. Most of them were taken with my phone, even though I had my camera with me, lol. It seems like my Galaxy Nexus is better than my camera…

I wish I’d dressed up a bit that day so I could have taken more pictures of myself with the trees 😦

I took quite a lot of pictures of Charlene since she was lounging. Charisse was up and photographing too, lol.

There weren’t a lot of trees, but they were enough.

Outing with Amnesiacs, Bunnies, and J

On Thursday I went out to meet my friends whom I call the Amnesiacs (Charisse & Liana), Bunnies (Roshan & Charlene), and  Josephine. Originally it was supposed to be Js, as in Josephine & Jessica (and previously Jean, as Charisse pointed out), but unfortunately, Jessica couldn’t make it. She had been the one to arrange the meeting and plan it since each of us were going off on trips at various times during the summer. It was a good chance to have a group gathering. Had she been there as well, it would have been the seven of us, which would have made the outing more memorable, since all the members of our high school group would have been present.

Unfortunately, Jessica rear ended a car on the way to meet us and so she couldn’t make it. 😦 But at least she wasn’t physically hurt, which is good. The last time a person around me got in a car accident it was my mother (around two years ago) and she’s still suffering from the effects of that. So car accidents are just– they’re just, no.

Anyway, so we all arrived on time (which — I must specifically mention because it is a feat in itself – that we set an pre-noon time and rushed to actually keep to the plan). (Though the main reason we’d rushed was to not anger Jessica since it was her planned event -_-. But anyway, moving along…) We started with ramen at Ajisen in North York. It was my second time going to a Japanese Ramen place in Toronto. The first time I had gone to one it was in downtown, and I had refrained from trying the ramen because of the heavy pork stock and mainly meat-ingredients. This time, however, I decided I would give it a try since they have soy and chicken alternatives. I opted for the chicken ramen.

Then we walked north to a “hidden cafe” (as I had told them, lol) that I had found on the outing with Eri-chan before. I led them to Cafe Bene, where we spent the next hour or two.

*NOTE:   HOLY— my god, I can’t even — I was writing up to here when the centipede attack happened, by the way. x____x;;;;;

Anyway. Back to the original post…

So we went to Cafe Bene. We were led to the same place Eri and I were placed last time. Except this time the tables had to be joined together for the six or us.

We had this joke of a thing running about how the waiter was paying me extra attention which, to be honest, was flattering of course. But since I’m awkward with the attention I pretended to not like it 😛 tehe

Roshan was nicer to me that day~ usually we have a love-hate / tough love kind of relationship, but she was nice for some reason! We even chatted on the walk to the cafe. Maybe she was feeling nice that day, lols. (Roshan, Charlene, and I have been friends since we were age 12, and our chats during commutes have lessened, thus the special mention.)

Charisse, Charlene, and I ordered the exact same Chocolate cakes (lol) and Roshan, Liana, and Josephine got bubble teas.

After lounging around for what seemed to be almost two hours, half of us decided on noraebang (karaoke). Charisse suggested it first, while Liana was a-okay with it. I was on the borderline, because I was indeed tired that day due to lack of proper sleep, and I also was trying to save money. Plus, I had gone for karaoke just a couple of weeks back with Japanese literature classmates. Still, in the end I decided to go for it. Charlene came along for the first time. At first she was on the borderline too, but she slowly started walking away from the station entrance with the rest of us, lols. So in the end, Roshan and Josephine left early.

Noraebang was good, we went to our usual place – Shout! Karaoke, at the intersection of Yonge & Finch, right across the street from the Starbucks.

It was Charlene’s first time but she blended right in! Charisse and Charlene covered English songs, while Liana and I did the Korean/Japanese ones. It’s good that we all had similar taste in music. Even the English songs were ones that I was acquainted with, which was good because I could enjoy it too. We stayed from 3pm to 6:30pm, for only $20. (which we split into $5/per person) which was a good deal!

There is even a 2 second video clip that I accidentally took on Charisse’s phone whilst trying to take a picture, haha.

Overall, it was a good day. We went to the Korean food cart afterwards, and then headed home.

Beauty Hangout with Charlene

IMG_4504

Last Saturday I went over to my friend Charlene’s house. It was Reading Week (although I did no reading…) and we had decided that I would come over to her place, we’d make ourselves up, and then head to Pmall to get her dress fitted (for a ball). The plan also included me coming back to her place after our Pmall trip, and us having a beauty chilling session.

My 21st Birthday

High Hopes

One of my closest friends Andrea celebrated her birthday today. We girls ate lunch at Song Cook’s Traditional Korean Restaurant, had dessert at Café Princess, and jammed at Shout! Karaoke.

At the Song Cook’s restaurant (Steeles & Yonge) we sat on thin mats placed on a heated floor and ate at a low table. The setting wasn’t cramped at all. It was comfortable and felt like a family home.

Liana felt so excited to cook her food that she didn’t look at the camera.

But in truth, Roshan felt even more excited.

Roshan and Liana went for a washroom break, so Andrea, Raggie and I watched their food.

The raw veggies looked so fresh!

Back at my side of the table, the DonKaSu that I ordered waited for me… so I went back and ate it.

A Day Out with Reggie~!

Today I went out to meet my friend, Reggie (nickname), after a long time. We went to eat lunch at Fairview (again… lol).

A polaroid capture of me, taken by Reggie. See that big pile of cheese? YUP. It was my lunch! (It was actually the appetizer, but I didn't realize it would be for four people >< lmao) (So we shared, but still couldn't defeat the overwhelming cheesiness and had to walk away defeated with a take out box...)

After lunch we went to watch Snow White and the Huntsman, which was… not… bad. But I can’t exactly say it was great either. When the credits rolled, both of us were just like “…what… I… don’t know what to say”, LOL. I liked the look of the film, it was definitely HD and stunning. But can’t say the same for the acting and editing. Kristen Stewart’s acting was a bit meh, even though I tried to like it, I really did. And Charlize Theron was …dramatic. O_O.

Some parts of the film were a bit ‘off’ too… like the scene would just cut, or it would seem random. Overall it could have been a lot better. It felt like there was potential that just fizzed out… and when we were done, both of us just had some kind of “incomplete” feeling. Which should never be a good thing to feel coming out from the theatres, I say.

The only thing I liked for sure was THORRRR~~~~~~ (lol~)
Chris Hemsworth~~~~
omgg~ la la la~ boy, did I like watching him, haha.
I realized today that I started having a bit of a crush on him. I didn’t really pay much attention to him in Thor and Avengers, but in this movie he totally stole the scenes for me. He looked less “god-like” this time, and he was much more… human. Charming, he is. (And the Australian accent doesn’t hurt!!)  😉

Anyway, we walked around a bit, and took pictures, la la la~

We also visited the Apple store, and out of habit, I just had to webcam, lol!

The Apple store’s lighting always makes me look so much better than in actuality, haha. I always look pale, and my lips always pink. I approve. XD

Anyway, it was a quick hang out, but it was still nice. I was actually supposed to give her her birthday present (from like, almost a month past), but I, being stupid, forgot to bring it with me =____=. It wasn’t until I was on the second bus that I remembered, and since I was already a bit late, I didn’t want to go back and get it.

Meh! I guess it was meant to be! We’ll just have to hang out again! Mwaha!

We don’t have a lot of pictures together, something to work on!

A Day in Vaughn

I went to Charisse’s house today.

The plan was to go there before noontime, because usually if I go somewhere after noontime, I feel like the day is somewhat shorter. So I left the house at around 11:30, and then realized that I had no cash, and no TTC bus tokens except for one. So I ended up spending time going to the bank at Finch to withdraw money. By the time I got to the YRT/VIVA bus station, it was around 12:40-ish?

So I get on, I sit for about 10-15 minutes, all the while playing with my phone… and then I realize, “Wait. I’m on a bus. And I’m not on just ANY bus. I’m on the bus to Charisse’s house…” then I look outside, AND I DON’T RECOGNIZE MY SURROUNDINGS.

YES. THAT’S RIGHT.
I GOT LOST IN VAUGHN TODAY.

So I sort of mini-freeze… and try to call her to ask for assistance/ideas, and the call doesn’t connect. =_=. So then I look up the map for the bus route, and not knowing how far or how long the bus was going to take, I just stay sitting… hoping that maybe I could just sit until it looped back. Boy, was I wrong. It was a good thing Charisse called me back, because otherwise I would have sat waiting in that bus for HOURS, apparently. SMH. It was so fail. Lol.

Anyway, so I got on the bus going the opposite direction, eventually. And eventually, I reached Charisse’s.

Now the nice parts! Yay! 😀
